Sunday Pics

Every now and then on Sunday I get bored and decide to torture the kiddies by making them pose for pictures for their grandparents in their nice Sunday clothes. Normally I promise them a treat for being cooperative and normally I take way to long to get a good shot and they inevitably get fed up the smiles turn to tears. It's hard though with 3 of them to get them all to look at the camera at the same time let alone have them all smiling at the same time. It's pretty impossible and pretty clear in these pics...one of them is usually not looking or someone is crying. Either way I still think the 3 of them are adorable, and I guess I'll take what i can get. I love the picture of Landon looking so sharp in this little tie w/that sly trademark "Landon" look on his face...you can tell he's plotting something.

4th of July

We made it home to Texas just in time for the 4th of July! We seemed rushed, but we had a great 4th! We got up early and sat through the ultra hot morning for the parade, but it was really great this year! My brother and sis in law were great and got there extra early to stake us out a spot and set up a canopy so we could at least sit in the shade! The kids had a lot of fun, but it was especially fun to watch how excited Landon got! He wouldn't even sit down because he didn't want to miss a thing! Later that night we drove up to the new Cowboys stadium and parked there so we could watch the fireworks show they were having across the street after the Rangers Game. The kids had a blast Landon got so excited about the fireworks this year and he pointed to them and called them popcorn. (I'm guessing because they make a popping sound?) We really did miss celebrating the 4th in Utah this year though! We missed the concert at Romney Stadium beforehand, the fried chicken and goodies, and of course spending it with Grandpa Gary and the fam! Maybe next year we can come out and do it right! :-)

More general silliness and a few from the ride home

We had so much fun on our summer trip to Utah! We are so blessed to have so much wonderful family and friends! Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and for helping us to have such a wonderful trip!!!! :-D As always we did not get to see everyone and that was a bummer so we'll try and do better next time! Though I am not sure when next time will be. :-( It might not be for a while, but remember you all are always welcome to come and visit us out here! We have a little extra room now, we love visitors and it will finally start to cool off soon! And I guarantee a great time will be had!! I put my personal guarantee on it! :-) Here are just a few more pics of the kids being silly and having fun on their wagon rides, jumping on the tramp with Uncle Daniel, playing basketball at Grandma Leslie's school, and just generally being Silly and a few that I snapped in the car on the looooong drive home.

GO BEES!

Every time without fail if we pass any kind of arena, stadium, field, anything Carson wants to go inside it and see what game is being played. As soon as we got to Salt Lake when we'd pass the Bees stadium he'd want to go inside. Chris and I talked about trying to get tickets and go to a game, but we hadn't done it because of all the other things we had going on with our trip. Luckily one day when we were out visiting our best buds (Andy and Jamie) and checking out their new house they asked us we we'd be interesting in some Bees tickets that they weren't going to use. Of course we said YES and we were so excited to go to the game. My favorite part was when we were driving up to the stadium and Carson starts telling us that he wants to go inside there and see what's playing...but this time Chris and I are like Ok and pull over to park. As we get out of the car and start walking up to the stadium he keeps looking back at us like not sure if we're joking or if we're really going to get to go inside. So cute to see him get so excited! He didn't care that they weren't a major league team and he didn't care that it was raining and a little cold. He had so much fun booing the other team and cheering for the Bees! So much fun taking pics with the camera and most of all eating all the good stadium snacks. Landon had a good time too. He has two favorite things in life: 1. Eating, and 2. Hamming it up. He had the opportunity to do both, so he was in heaven eating and making the people around us laugh at his silliness.

A little roudy in Training Table

So of course while on our trip we had to make a stop to training table. Actually we had a list made up while we were driving (to kill time on the loooooong car ride)of all the places that we wanted to eat while we were in Utah! Silly I know but super yummy!

We stopped in at Training table one of those days we were making the drive from Logan back down to Centerville. The kids were tired of being in the car so once we got inside they got super roudy and of course Landon played his usual role of instigator of the whole ordeal. He's not even two, but he knows how to get everyone riled up!

Eventually Chris and I decided it was too tiring to try and keep them quite and thought it best to just let them loose to get all of thier wiggles and giggles out before we loaded them back up into the car. I even joined in on the silliness a little bit.

Notice Chris's attempt at a discipline face...haha and he wonders why it doesn't work. Would you be scared at that face or would you laugh at it?

(really he was just being silly too)

General Silliness

I love taking the kids to the park and just snapping pictures of them in their element! They are so funny, so stinking cute and of course ever so naughty and mischevious! Ha ha they make me laugh. We were on this particular day at the park with Uncle Daniel and they were of coures having a blast playing, jumping, running, exploring and of course tackling at Daniel's heels! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family, and at the same time it seems no matter where we go we are always missing someone. But none the less this was a fun day at the park and maybe when it finally cools down here in Texas we'll once again be reunited with the park. Either that or we can get up at 6:30 and go play at the park, but that I'm not sure seems worth it...

Fun w/Grandpa Gary

Wow Ok so life got me side tracked once again. I think I need to set myself a reminder in my phone for blogging time. So here's some more pics of the kiddos and a few may have wondered in of me and Chris but I try to keep those to a minimum...no one wants to see those. LOL :-D

It's nice that Grandpa Gary has a gig working at the golf course because he was able to take the boys and the kids out for a little golfing fun! They had a blast especially Carson but by the time I got there to pick them up he was done and I didn't get to snap any pics. Luckily Landon and Lilli were more than willing to pose for a few shots for me out on the golf course.

Ha ha so we also thought one rainy summer day that it would be fun to take the kids bowling...they've never been, but they had such a BLAST! Landon I'd have to say was the most into it...he's such a funny kid. Lilli liked it but got kind of bored pretty quick and Carson had a good time and took it pretty serious, but that kid is all about sports and usually he plays to win! Chris if I remember correctly tried to show off his "mad bowling skills" and ended up getting beaten by me (the world most horrible bowler) and learned a valuable lesson on humility!

Sunny Days

I hope that the slide shows are oK, I have tons of pictures and I haven't learned the secret yet of how to upload more than 5 pics per post (if anyone knows and wants to share I'd be very appreciative!). So for A LOT of our June trip to Utah it was rainy and we were a bit sad :(. We still had fun, and we were enjoying the much cooler than Texas weather, but we were itching to get outside and play! So every now and then we'd get a day of sunny weather and we'd milk it for all it was worth! Ha ha. This particular day was a fun filled one! The kids went for a wagon ride, then we had Popsicles (mostly to stop the crying and swelling lip for Carson after the wagon tipped), and we played a little badminton and just had a good time outside!

Wagon Rides

Wagon rides at Grandpa Gary's house is one of the kids favorite things to do! They love having Uncle Daniel and Uncle Spencer take turns pulling them on the wagon around the neighborhood! I love it because they want Daniel and Spencer to do it so I just get to sit back and watch and take lots of pictures! And Daniel and Spencer are so great to do it! :) It's hard because the kids yell for them to go FASTER FASTER, but as we learned FASTER FASTER around the corners sometimes leads to crying MOMMY MOMMY! Poor Spencer felt so bad, but wounds heal and a few days later they were all back on the wagon for another ride around the neighborhood. No Harm No Foul and all is forgotten pretty quick with little kids!

Super Funny Kids Quotes!

New Quotes.:

I asked the kids if they wanted mommy to have another baby? They said yes so I asked Lilli if she would want a little brother, to which she replied, "We already have a little brother...it's over there."

Carson and I were playing Go Fish and as usual he beat me pretty bad ;), he quickly ran to tell daddy, "I cleaned the foor with mommy!"

I plan out the dinners for the month on a calander in the kitchen and Friday's are always pizza days. A few Friday's ago Carson was so excited ALL day for Pizza. He kept asking if it was time yet, I kept telling him it wasn't pizza time yet and finally when Chris got home from work Carson ran up to him and asked, "Daddy, NOW is it Pizza O'clock?" (translation, "is it Pizza time yet)

On the Fourth of July Chris and I took the kids to see the fireworks show and we were eager to see what Landon's reaction would be to them. As soon as they started, he got a little startled but it quickly turned to excitement and then he would point to them and say "POPCORN!"

We often drive by the new Cowboys stadium and Carson will ask about it we'll tell him it's where the Cowboys play football...the other day we went there to drop Chris and a few of my brothers off to watch a soccer game, and Carson asked about what they were going to watch, I said soccer this time not football. A week later at church when we were walking the halls Carson asks about the pictures of the Temples on the wall so we'll tell him they are Temples and explain about them and he turns to us and asks, "But what about the soccer Temple? Where's the picture of the soccer Temple?" (it's a BIG stadium and I guess to him it looked like it should be on the wall of Temples.)

We were going grocery shopping the other day, Carson asked where we were going and I told him to the food store. Right then we passed McDonalds and he asks me, "At McDonalds they sell food right?" I said yes and he asks, "If they sell food there, then it's a food store right?" I again say yes I suppose so, and he says, "Well if it's a food store, then maybe we should go there this time."

When we were in Utah Uncle Daniel would take the kids out on the trampoline every now and then. Once they were out there and Lilli was bothered that Carson was jummping and bouncing her all around so she tells him, Carson stop, you're making me bounce and Carson replied, "that's not my problem." (A little rude.)

We went to lunch one day to Paradise bakery and Chris and I got a bowl of creamy potato soup. We sat down started eating and the kids started inquiring about our soup. We said it was potato soup with cheese...Carson shoot up and said to Chris, "That sounds like my kind of soup!" (We were laughing hysterically!)
