The Children's Science Museum

The other day Chris and I and my parents took the kids to the Children's Science Museum in Dallas. It was way more cool than we thought it would be! They had all kinds of great exhibits geared toward children. The kids had a blast and it was pretty interesting for us bigger kids too! The kids got to see the Dinosaur bones and then they got to dig for bones in the sand pit! We went on to blow giant bubbles, that was really fun! They got to also pick a giant nose and learn about the human body. They got to stand in the bio-hazard suits for a photo opp. The really fun part of the museum for the kids was that down below they have a level just for kids their age. It's split up into different aspects of the community with games, activities, dress up clothes all to teach the kids about how their communities are made up of a variety of different parts. They got to drive the fire truck and dress up like fire fighters at the fire station. They also played house in the mock, kid size house, learn about the outdoors and all the bugs and animals that live in the outside. They got to jump, climb and explore, learn about water, play in the fun house mirrors, build with giant Lego's, and they got to learn about the farm. They picked fruits and veggies, milked a cow, (it made me laugh how much Carson really liked to milk the cow) and even got to ride some horses! It was a really fun day for us and especially for the kids!

A Rough Morning

So the other day Carson had stayed the night over at grandma's and it was just Lilli me and Landon (Chris was at work), for some reason Lilli woke up really early in the morning, (I mean early for my kids so it was probably like 6:30 a.m.) we did our usual morning routine but about half way through the morning Lilli started being really unhappy, and started crying and throwing fits,so I figured that she must be tired. We managed to make it to lunch time and Landon was taking a nap, so I gave Lilli her lunch and thought it would be a good time to pop in to my bedroom and do a bit of homework. I came out about 10 minutes later to check in on her and I heard snoring. I came around the other side of the table to find Lilli sitting straight up in her chair, in front of her untouched food, asleep and full out snoring! Oh yes my sweet baby girl snores like you wouldn't believe! :) It was so cute and so sad but most of all funny! I had to snap a picture. I showed it to her a few days later and she didn't believe me that it was her. I did finally take her to bed and she had a much needed three hour nap!

Just another day at the park.

This was last Saturday, it was such a beautiful day that we decided to take the kids to the park and play a little baseball, play on the slides and have a little picnic. It was a really great day!

Sweet Pea

I just had a few pics that I took of Lilli about a week ago. She looks so sweet and like such a little angel! Don't let her soft, cute smile fool you, she's no angel usually, but every now and then my sweet pea comes through with her beautiful smile that warms your heart! She's so adorable, but she's a sneaky one for sure! She uses that cuteness to play dirty, and she uses it to her full advantage. I don't know a single man in Lilli's life that my sweet baby girl doesn't already have wrapped around her tiny, chubby, little fingers! I can see through her, but not a man in her life has been able to crack that cute exterior! Carson and Landon freely follow her into trouble, mind you trouble that they never could have even come up with on their own! Chris likes to pretend he hasn't fallen into her spell, but really who's he kidding! I've seen her fool him a time or two! :) It only takes her 5 seconds to become the life of the party when her uncles and cousins come around, and Grandpa's never even stood a chance with my sweet Lilli!

Chuck E' Cheese

I was going through the pics on my camera earlier and I came across these photos that I hadn't posted yet. So right before all the kids started getting sick my mom and I took them along with their cousins Jack and Emma to Chuck E' Cheese just to have a little fun! Here they are meeting Chuck E' Cheese himself. You can't see him in this pic, but Landon was sitting with us at the table, saw him, jumped off the bench, ran right over to him and before I could snap a picture he had followed Chuck E' Cheese right out of the toddler zone into the big kids area and I had to go chase him down! He's definently my least shy child!

Lilli had a blast riding all the rides. I had to hold her tokens or else she'd put all of them in at once, so every two minutes she'd come running up "Mommy I need more monies please!"
Carson had fun in the toddler zone as well, but he did get to venture out to the big kids area with his cousins! They got separated one time and he came screaming back to safety where me and grandma were. But he had a really good time!

I believe it was actually Landon's first time there and he had so much fun playing in the toddler zone! He was so into the rides, I think his favorite one was the stewart little car ride! Notice that even Stewart LITTLE is bigger than he is! LOL. :)

Yes we drive a minivan!

Ok so when we were in Utah over Christmas break there was an accident with our car back home. Due to this, we had to move up our plans to buy a new car and so we bought a car on new year's eve (took advantage of the end of the year deals). We went over and over it, what kind of car did we want, but in the end financially and practically it only made sense for us to finally break down and buy a minivan. We were those people who always said there was no way we'd ever drive a minivan! But you know what, when you've got kids, all that stuff you said you'd never do, or never be goes out the window! LOL. I do however apologize to my friends with whom I made a pact to never buy a minivan...I'm sorry but it happened to me and it'll probably happen to you too someday! Anyways, now I'm so totally in love with my minivan! It's so wonderful, cute and awesome (Chris that was for you!) It's so roomy, and comfortable! and hey it's even "Baldi Gardens Green!" It was cute though when we bought it Carson was so excited to have a new car (he was embarrassed by our old one) but he was so super excited to finally not be so crammed and to have a little space! I love my minivan though and we are finally glad to have a new car! So in the end everything turned out okay!

Better days

Let me start by saying that Landon did get better after the 5 days! On day 6 in fact he was pretty much back to his old self and I even got a couple of shots of him playing a little golf.

Lilli however got sick for a few days, but mild compared to Landon and then she was ok...until the day before yesterday. :( She woke up from her nap with a pretty high fever and today she still hasn't been able to shake it. I guess I'll wait the 5 days and hope that she gets over it by then too! No sign so far of Carson feeling bad, or me or Chris, hopefully it stays that way. It's been some long nights, but we're all hanging in there. I just can't wait for all my kids to be back to 100%. I hate seeing them sick, they make me so sad! :(

Super Funny Kids Quotes!

New Quotes.:

I asked the kids if they wanted mommy to have another baby? They said yes so I asked Lilli if she would want a little brother, to which she replied, "We already have a little brother...it's over there."

Carson and I were playing Go Fish and as usual he beat me pretty bad ;), he quickly ran to tell daddy, "I cleaned the foor with mommy!"

I plan out the dinners for the month on a calander in the kitchen and Friday's are always pizza days. A few Friday's ago Carson was so excited ALL day for Pizza. He kept asking if it was time yet, I kept telling him it wasn't pizza time yet and finally when Chris got home from work Carson ran up to him and asked, "Daddy, NOW is it Pizza O'clock?" (translation, "is it Pizza time yet)

On the Fourth of July Chris and I took the kids to see the fireworks show and we were eager to see what Landon's reaction would be to them. As soon as they started, he got a little startled but it quickly turned to excitement and then he would point to them and say "POPCORN!"

We often drive by the new Cowboys stadium and Carson will ask about it we'll tell him it's where the Cowboys play football...the other day we went there to drop Chris and a few of my brothers off to watch a soccer game, and Carson asked about what they were going to watch, I said soccer this time not football. A week later at church when we were walking the halls Carson asks about the pictures of the Temples on the wall so we'll tell him they are Temples and explain about them and he turns to us and asks, "But what about the soccer Temple? Where's the picture of the soccer Temple?" (it's a BIG stadium and I guess to him it looked like it should be on the wall of Temples.)

We were going grocery shopping the other day, Carson asked where we were going and I told him to the food store. Right then we passed McDonalds and he asks me, "At McDonalds they sell food right?" I said yes and he asks, "If they sell food there, then it's a food store right?" I again say yes I suppose so, and he says, "Well if it's a food store, then maybe we should go there this time."

When we were in Utah Uncle Daniel would take the kids out on the trampoline every now and then. Once they were out there and Lilli was bothered that Carson was jummping and bouncing her all around so she tells him, Carson stop, you're making me bounce and Carson replied, "that's not my problem." (A little rude.)

We went to lunch one day to Paradise bakery and Chris and I got a bowl of creamy potato soup. We sat down started eating and the kids started inquiring about our soup. We said it was potato soup with cheese...Carson shoot up and said to Chris, "That sounds like my kind of soup!" (We were laughing hysterically!)
